Found lots of tabs
from pop cans, nuts, bolts, cans, and a whole 12 cents (1 dime, 2 pennies)

No detecting, just off-shore fishing.
Caught lots of Mackerel and traded a case of beer for 52 pounds of shrimp from a shrimp
boat (that was a great treasure).

An exciting live-aboard dive trip. Before
heading out to sea, we went digging and detected the docks of Nassau Harbor. A set of divers in
our group had just finished diving the same area before us. Then it was our turn. After
about 20 minutes of finding many old 50s style bottles (still full), beer cans, a saw, and
a 1902 penny, we came upon a find giving off a strong signal. What was this? Well, it
didn't take much digging to recover a dive knife - not just any dive knife - our dive
buddy's knife (that just dived before us)!

We tried to detect other places on our trip, but it's too difficult when you want to
"dive the dive" and not look down at the sandy bottom the whole time. We had a
great trip with new experiences - diving with sharks, drift diving, I even had a lobster
playing with me on a night dive.

We lugged all of our dive equipment and
cameras for a very dry diving trip - the weather was terrible the first day we arrived in
Florida. We rented a convertible and drove to Key West in hopes to do some diving and
detecting. The next day brought tornado warnings and high seas. We drove around the keys a
lot, encountered 3 of the near-extinct key deer, went for a plane ride around the keys, then
hit the bars of Key West. We spent the last few days of our trip in Miami. We detected on
the beach by our hotel and found 7 quarters, 2 dimes, 1 nickel and 2 pennies (some from
early 1940's). We detected an area of about 100" x 30" for 2 hours. Oh yeah, we
also found an old match-box car.
